For the seven months j ended 31st July importations from Em pile countries were 175.728 pairs. This can be taken as the approximate total of the importations for 1941. as in most j cases the bulk of the imports arrive bc_ 1 fore the end of June in each year. It ! i is to be noted, however, that the prices j of rubber and cotton have risen fully i i 1C per cent, f.o.b. over the 1941 prices. !
