Vida Steinert is represented by "Back Street.” Alice F. Whyte has "Maori Meeting House. Whaka.” hung. Frances I. Hunt's "Sketch" is pleas--11. V. Frances Steel's “Mercury Bay" is attractive. John Week’s "Still Life" is a boldly conceived study, painted in his usual masterly manner. The colour is particularly good. R. J. Diekison has "The Quarry. Sawyer’s Bay.” hung. Adele Younghusband shows two widely differing subjects. "Still Life." and “Young Woman and Cat.” In both the subject matter has been reduced to simplified forms, all unnecessary details being eliminated. Both are interesting. J. Turkington's "Cabaret” i an attractive pattern of colour and form A. Lois White shows a typical study, "Thunder Storm." As usual, her colour is harmonious and pleasing. Amy Dawson's "Waihekc” is a cleverly executed pastel.
