At last evening’s meeting of Ta- j hunanui Town Board the clerk was instructed to write a letter of sympathy ta the relatives of the la.. Mrs E. E. Burrell, whose death occurred last weke. The chairman, Mr C. H. Chamberlain, said Mrs Burrell was one of the oldest reside..ts of Tahunanui and a few years ago had donated the valuable area of land to the district which v/as now known as Burrell Park. | The Hon. Walter Black, M.L.C., left for Wellington by ’plane this morning to take up his new duties as a member of the Legislative Council. He has received many telegrams congratulating him on his appointment.
