DUNEDIN MEETING’S RESOLUTION t Dunedin, Sept. 8. I An enthusiastic gathering of about ! 2000 in the Town Hall to-night paid tribute to the magnificent defence being put up by the Russians and pledged I v hole-hearted support to a policy of j giving every assistance to the Soviet in | its fight against the common enemy. i The meeting was held by the Dun- ! t edin branch of the New Zealand So- i c ciety for Closer Relations with Russia, i v The Mayor. Mr A. H. Allen, presided j . and speakers were Mr H. Atmore. M.P.. and Mr J. Roberts. Resolutions were £ adopted conveying greetings to the people of Russia from the citizens of :i Dunedin and urging the Government to 0 afford all possible assistance to the p Soviet—P.A.
