BIG ORDERS FROM RUSSIA EXPECTED DOMINIONS TO PARTICIPATE (Rec. 12.15 p.m.) Brisbane, This Day. Russian orders for millions of tins of canned beef, absorbing between twenty and thirty thousand tons of carcases are expected by meat industry authorities. A meat industry official said that it is understood that Australia will share with other Empire countries in the big Russian orders for beef and lamb. "We expect the orders to be so heavy that meat producers will no longer have to think in terms of restricting pro- 1 duction. rather will they have to consider increasing output.” The secretary of the Australian Russian Association Mr E. Draftu has re- i ceived a cable from M. Maisky, Russian j Ambassador to Great Britain, stating ! that four more Russian ships are com* | ing to Australia to load meat, wheat and ! wool.—U.PA_ !
