FRASER OF FEARN
SCOTTISH COMPLIMENTS NEW ZEALAND PRIME MINISTER (Rec. 9.0 a.m. > London, Aug. 5 Presenting the New Zealand Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, with the freedom of Tain, the Provost, Mr William Fraser, described him as “one of the architects and builders of the Empire,” but said that to the Tain people he still remained Peter Fraser of Fearn. a man of valiant and understanding heart. Mr Fraser, en route to the ceremony, inspected a guard of honour from a Highland regiment and placed wreathe on the town's war memorial. —U.P.A.
