SENTENCED FOR THEFT
TERM OF REFORMATIVE DETENTION Christchurch, This Day. A sentence of 12 months' reformative detention was passed on John Joseph Graham Young, insurance agent, of Timaru, by Mr Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court to-day, prisoner having pleaded guilty to seven charges of theft from his employers, the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society, involving £486 12s 2d. Tlie Court was informed to-day that prisoner had also made confession to matters involving approximately £4OO additional to the money mentioned in the charges.— P.A.
