SUBMARINE CUT IN HALF
RAMMED ISY TORPEDO BOAT CLAIM BY ITALIANS ißec. 11.50 a.m.) London, Aug. 4. An Italian communique reports that an Italian torpedo boat sank the British submarine Cachalot, which was rammed and cut in half. Ninety-one members of the crew were saved. The communique admits the loss of an Italian submarine operating in the Atlantic.—U.P.A.
