AVIATION PIONEER DEAD
[ (Rec. 2.20 p.m * London, Aug. 4. j The death has occurred of Captain Eduard William Wakefield, the first I Briton to fly an aeroplane off water. 1 After seeing many eariv living-machines ! crash Wakefield decided that water j would provide a better landing. He ' experimented from workshops on the ; shores of Lake Windcmcrc.
