NELSON UNION DANA GEM ENT CO MM ITT 1.1! MEETING The weekly meeting of the Nelson Rugby Union management committee held last evening was attended by Messrs W. V. Fletcher (president), J. Byrne, T. Mahoney. R. Falconer. W. A. Smith, 11. Young. Ayrton. Weldon. D. D Merritt. H. G Mcßheiwm, D. E. Johnson, and F. Lock ' secretary >. Mr li. F. McLean was appointed manager of the fourth class representatives to play at Motueka on Saturday. The senior selector. Mr W. O Sullivan, forwarded his resignation on ac - count of his transfer to Christchurch. The resignation was accepted and it was decided to write to Mr O'Sullivan thanking him for his valued services to the game during his residence in Nelson. Mr T. Mahoney was appointed to fill the vacancy caused by Mr O’Sullivan's resignation. The Pirate Club's explanation regarding the filling in of the senior team slip in the recent game against NelsonOld Boys was accepted. No action was taken in regard to a request by the Pirate Club for the replaying of the Mr Smith notified that it would be his last attendance on account of his going into camp with the Overseas Forces. Mr Smith was thanked for his services on the Fixtures Committee end for his interest in the game over a period of years. The union’s best wishes for his future success and safe return were expressed. Mr Mahoney reported on the training or the Seddon Shield team. Fie said that the team would trtlin at Trafalgar Park this evening at 7 o'clock.
