BIG RIVER Report ol Big River Gold Mines, Ltd., for the month of July:— No. 7 level.—winze: The winze has been sunk to a depth of 34 feet. The loot wall reef, carrying fair values, was intercepted at 15 feet and has since been followed down. Average width is 24 inches. Rise off north drive: A rise is up 28 feet on reef which was cut in the drive. The reef is showing, up strongly on the south end of the rise, being 48 inches wide. 30 inches in the roof and 24 inches in the north ‘ end. This reef appears to be of a fair j grade of milling ore. No. 6 Level—winze stope: A fourth • slope is now being commenced on the south side of winze. The reef has narrowed in to 18 inches. Owing lo the shortage of labour, il has only been possible to work one shift daily on the development faces.
