FATALLY CRUSHED BY LOG
Greymouth, July 28. Standing on a sapling near a* line down which logs were being hauled. Allan Brerton. aged 16. was thrown in fron* of a log at Jack Brothers’ sawmi tl Bel thill, to-day, and killed instantly when the log passed over his chest and head. More than 12 feet of log passed over the body before the locomotive could bo popped P.A. Lucifer matches were formerly retailed at four a penny.
