INTERCESSION
My help cometh from the Lord, which maketh heaven and earth. My flesh and my heart faileth. but God is the strength of my liea*-t and my portion for ever (Psalm exxi). Wo thank Thee /or all Thy goodness to us as a nation; Thou hast given us grace to uphold the given us grace to uphold the righteous cause; Thou hast manifested Thy presence with us in the courage of our people under dreadful shock and trail of faith; Thou hast given us leaders in whom we can trust and a spirit of unity that is a sign to all the world. O God, because it is not of ourselves but only of Thy goodness that we have obtained these benefits, keep us from presumption and pride and in fuller dependence upon Thee may we come to see the triumph of the righteous cause in which all mankind shall be blest, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
