CITY OF NELSON Notice to Electricity Consumers / CONSUMERS of electricity are ad visi " ed that owing to the difficulties which have arisen in connection with the proposed hydro-electric supply, restrictions in the use of electric current are necessary to avoid overloading and the serious consequences which might arise at the City Power Station. Consumers are accordingly requested to observe the following restrictions ; oetween the hours of 4.30 p.m and 6 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (both days ' inclusive) during the period from the ! date hereof to the end of August. (1 » Motor users to cut off the power |at 4.30 p.m. daily. <2> Heating appliances in shops, offices and dwellings to be cut off: between 4.30 p.m. and 6 p.m. daily. <3> Lighting in all buildings to be restricted to minimum requirements between 4 30 pm. and 6 p.m. daily. COLLEGE COUNCIL ELECTION PARENTS’ REPRESENTATIVES I N regard to the eleetion of CandLdates for Nelson College Council, as a parent of children at both Colleges 1 consider it highly desirable that, the candidates elected as parents’ representatives should at least be parents. There are only two representatives allowed on the Council of Governors for parents and surely it is essential that these members should have personal knowledge of the requirements of children.
