HEAD-ON COLLISION
ACCIDENT ON ROCKS ROAD TWO PERSONS~7n HOSPITAL As the result of a head-on collision between two cars on the Rocks road late yesterday afternoon Mr Ernest Harvey, Queen street, Richmond, and his son, Neil Harv v, aged eight years, were admitted to the Nelson Public Hospital, Mr Harvey suffered an inlured wrist and boy a cut nose. Their condition wa. tated this morning to be satisfactory. The accident occurred on the Rocks road on the Tahunanui side of the Richardson street intersection. Mr Harvey was the driver of a car which was proceeding from Nelson. The driver of the ; other car was Mr E. E. Gahagan, Beach j road, Tahunanui. Gahagan, who was j travelling into Nelson, was passing an- j other car going the same way when | the cars met head on. Harvey’s car, in ; which there were several passengers, j was forced over a grass plot toward the I sea wall, and the other car finished j up on the Basin Reserve side of the j . road. Both cars were very extensively j damaged.
