INTERCESSION
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him and He will show them His covenant. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord (Psalm xxv 14). O God. in Whom there is no darkness, shed Thy light upon the path we are called to tread and guide our feet that we may not stumble. And hear us as we pray for others in greater need than ourselves. We beseech Thee, O God, for Thy servant, George, our King; for the Prime Minister of Great Britain, and the leaders of the people throughout the Empire; for all who have great responsibilities in determining the policies of Stale and the defence of human liberty, that Thou wouldst be pleased to guide them in every per-' plexity and finally grant them the 1 ! joy of leading us safely through the! | perils of war to a lasting peace, for! 1 the glory of Thy name. Amen.
