FISHING
(Original) Yesterday afternoon we all went j fishing. Alice, but. during the two or , three hours we were away. never | caught one. We went to the back of j the Motor Camp. Dad has not got very much patience fo.- that sort of sport, and after about half-an-hour of fishing (during which time he felt exciting little jerks on the end of the line, to pull it in and discover that all his bait had been nibbled off, but alas! no fish) he saw another
fisherman further along the beach, so.I presenting me with the line, he went j off to have a talk. There must have j been fish there, for we saw them jump- j ing. However, when Dad came back from his talk. I was as glad to give him j his line back as he was glad to present I it to me in the first place. Have you ever been fishing? —Fay Baynes (13 years) Tahunanui.
