Maunsell, S.M., in the Mag- s ' istrate’s Court this morning: — E i For driving a motor vehicle in Wai- G ■ mea road at a speed exceeding 30 R 1 m.p.h. Laurie Cyril Styles was fined s ; 10s, costs 3s. Styles said that he was F i a taxi driver and since the introduction L ■ of petrol restrictions had been in the A • habit of coasting as far as possible back e to the rank. On this occasion he must have allowed the car to gain speed while out of gear. The Magistrate said that his was a reasonable excuse. B For driving a’ motor car along Wake- G field Quay at a speed of 40 m.p.h. Bea- J trice Gibbs was fined £l, costs 10s, Francis Edward Boulton was fined ss, B costs 10s, for driving a motor car while not being the holder of a current driv- c er’s license. p
