SOUTH CANTERBURY MEETING CHIEF EVENT TO ROYAL LANCER [United Press Association] Timaru, May 15. The first day of the South Canterbury Jockey Club's winter meeting attracted a good crowd. The track was in good order and the totalisator handled £12,749, against £8702 on the corresponding day last year.
