ATTITUDE UNFAVOURABLY CRITICISED LITTLE INFLUENCE IN UNITED STATES (United Press Association) Auckland, This Day. Lindbergh’s attitude to the war was I unfavourably criticised by several ! passengers on the Monterey, who arrived to-day, from America. “I I should say that outside the proI German group Lindbergh has very little ! influence in the United States,” said Dr Hough, Dean of the Drew Theological Seminary, New Jersey. “Only a noisy few subscribe to hi* views,” said Mr G. H. Grimwade, a prominent Melbourne businessman. Dr Trehey, a Catholic priest, who is returning to New Zealand, said the Americans admired Lindbergh for his sincerity but doubted his ability as an expert on economic and political subjects.”
