The Lodge funds now total £134 13s Bd, thus showing a gain during the last half-year. The sick pay was very light again. The management expenses were slightly heavier than usual, the cause for this being fully explained by the secretary. The membership at the 31st March 1941 was 119. The secretary also drew the members’ attention to the various trophies which had been donated for the membership competition which concludes at the end of September. During the half-year two social functions were held, namely, the annual anniversary celebrations which were held last October and in December a parent’s evening was held in lieu of the usual Christmas Tree, which this year the social committee of the Loyal Nelson Lodge were unable to provide owing to the lack of finance.
