VICTIMS OF SUBMARINE
TWO BRITISH SHIPS [U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph-Copyright] (Rec. 1.50 p.m.) Santa Cruz (Teneriffe), Apl. 21. The sinking of the British freighter Carpathia and the British tanker Dusgield by a German submarine off these islands on Bth April was disclosed today by the arrival here of the Spanish minelayer Marte with 47 survivors. Twenty men were saved from the Carpathia and 27 from the Dusgield.
