Mr H. W. Kelly, who has been a member of the Nelson Harbour Board for the past seventeen years as Richmond Borough’s representative, announced at last night’s meting of the board that he would not be seeking reelection at the elections next month. The chairman (Mr A. Gould) expressed regret that the board would be losing the services of Mr Kelly. Mr Kelly had always expressed his opinions fearlessly and had given valuable service to the district over the long period of his membership. He had been deputy chairman of the board for six years, from 1931 to 1937, and he had earned the esteem of all the board members. On behalf of the members the chairman expressed good wishes to Mr and Mrs Kelly.
