SUNDAY ENTERTAINMENTS
FOR BRITISH INDUSTRIAL WORKERS (British Official Wireless) Rugby, Feb. 20. The provision of regular cinema music hall and theatre entertainment on Sundays where the needs of the fighting services and industrial workers warrant it is expected as the result of consideration given this question by the Home Secretary, Mr Morrison, who stated in the House of Commons that it was proposed that the defence regulations authorising Sunday opening of cinemas where large numbers of troops are concentrated should be amended to cover the needs of industrial workers. Discretion would similarly be exercised regarding the opening of theatres and music halls. The House would have an opportunity to debate the regulation.
