NEWS OF CLASHES | [U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph-Copyright | (Rec. 2.0 p.m.) London, Feb. 19. i The Polish News Agency says that a | German general, General Roettiv was ! killed during a clash with Polish armed bands and German police. German papers published in Poland reveal the Poles’ growing resistance. “Deutsche Rundscdau” reports serious fighting in the Tuchola forest near Bromberg where armed bands of Poles are organising. “Krakauer Zeitung” reports another battle elsewhere when the Germans tried to round up a band, a German policeman being killed and two wounded. The paper reveals that ; 44 German police were killed in central Poland in recent months.
