SHELTER REFRESHMENT
WORK FOR 1000 LONDON WOMEN TRANSPORT BOARD'S SERVICE fU.PA.-By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received lltli December. 1.20 p.m.) LONDON. 10th December. A thousand women are employed in the London Transport Board’s new shelter refreshment service. Every afternoon at 6 o'clock "tube refreshment specials” leave six depots laden with seven tons of food. Overnight they dispense 30.000 buns. 20.000 pieces of cake. 13.000 gallons of tea and large quantities ot soup, saousages and pies.
