A loss on the season's operations of between £4OO and £SOO. was • reported when the final meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Rugby Union for 1940 was held last night.. It was considered that this result was better than had been expected con sidering the effect of enlistments on the clubs and on the general standard of play.
