PILOT OFFICER'S DEATH
EVIDENCE AT INQUEST [United Press Association) PALMERSTON N.. This Day. At the inquest into the death of Pilot Officer Thomas Kirk (26) who was killed in an aeroplane crash at Tokomaru on 14th November, the evidence of police searchers showed that the wreckage was spread over a wide area, the machine crashing into a rock face. One witness gave the opinion that death occurred before the plane burned, deceased’s skull being fractured. A verdict was returned that he was accidentally killed.
