PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT
CIVIC RECEPTION ON FRIDAY On the occasion of the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser’s first visit to Nelson ac Prime Minister on Friday, he will be tendered a civic reception which will be held in the City Council Chambers at mid-day. The Prime Minister will arrive m Nelson from Blenheim on Friday morning. In the afternoon he will present the prizes at the Nelson College prizegiving ceremony, after which he will inspect the Cawthron Institute. Mr Fraser has advised the Hampden street School Committee that owing to an important engagement in Wellington on Saturday he now finds it impossible to perform the official opening ceremony for the Hampden street baths. In a message to the committee Mr Fraser expressed his regret at being unable to open the baths as previously arranged.
