HOMING PIGEONS
RACE FROM DUNEDIN In the Nelson Homing Pigeon Club’s race from Dunedin, the birds were liberated by the stationmaster in overcast weather. They flew into rain and mist and only four birds arrived home on the day. Results:— Ist, F. Hockey, time lOhrs 13mins 45secs. 2nd, H. Simpson, time lOhrs 13mins 52secs. 3rd, F. Hockey, time lOhrs 16mins 32secs. 4th, H. Simpson, 12hrs 15mins 32secs. Birds owned by J. Haycock, R. Hill and L. Quinton arrived next morning. The next race is from Whangarei.
