McKenzie 11, Taylor 11 (not out) and Leahy 22 (not out), being the principal contributors. Bowling for City Council: H. Grindle secured one wicket for 13 runs, Burdon one for 21, Snow' two for 26, Scrimgeour one for 25 and W. Grindle one for 9. City Council responded with a score of 150. Snow 33, PI. Grindle 34 (not out), W. Grindle 27, Burdon 10 being the double figure batsmen. Plockey two for 12, Guy two for 8, Baker two for 6, Taylor one for 8, Simpson two for 14 and Edwards one for 3 secured the best bowling averages for Buxtons.
