Trawler “Moonstone” decided to try a cast. After the firstj depth charge, one of Italy’s largest submarines broke the surface with evident haste, and engaged the trawler with two guns, torpedoes and machine guns. Unruffled, the “Moonstone” fired her solitary gun with such accuracy that comedy was lent to a very gallant episode as the “Moonstone” struggled to port with her colossal catch. The breadth of the grins on her tiny deck indicated that even if the fish were tinned, it was still good fishing. This action proved that quality rather than quantity of lire decides an issue and between this engagement and Berger Paints is a perfect parallel.
