WEEKLY SPORTS MEETING
TRIALS FOR HESTER SHIELD TEAM SOME GOOD PERFORMANCES The weekly sports meeting of the Nelson Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club, held at Trafalgar Park, took the form of trials to assist the selectors in selecting the Nelson team to compete for the Hester Shield against Marlborough on Saturday, 14th December. A fine performance was registered by W. Wilkes, who won the junior 100 yards in 10 2-ssecs. J. Barron’s time for the half mile was 2min 1 l-ssecs.
