MORE DAYLIGHT FOR WAR EFFORT
OTTAWA, 22nd October. As a war measure, all municipalities in Ontario and Quebec which observed daylight saving time during the summer will continue to do so. Ordinarily, summer time was changed to stand ard about the end of September. The maintenance of summer time will tend to harness more effectively Canada’s power resources for the war effort and to make available 189,000 more electrical horsepower for Canada’s war industries.
