RELIEF FROM DROUGHT
RAIN FALLS IN NEW SOUTH WALES [U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph-Copyright] SYDNEY, 3rd December. The metropolitan water supply has substantially benefited by the soaking rain which began on Saturday and ceased only t'o-aay, adding three months’ supply to the storage at all the reservoirs. The entire coast as well as many inland centres has had a thorough soaking, bringing relief to threequarters of the State. Useful rains have also fallen in Queensland and parts of Victoria and South Australia.
