NELSON COLLEGE COUNCIL OF GOVERNORS
PRIME MINISTER TO SPEAK AT PRIZE GIVING The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P Fraser, wrote to the monthly meeting of the Nelson College Council of Governors. which was held last evening, accepting the invitation to give the address at the annual prize-giving ceremony which will be held in the Majestic Theatre on Friday afternoon. 13th December. Those present were Messrs C. R. Fell (chairman), C. M. Collins, C. Milner, J. Glasgow. D Max. E. R. Neale. D. F. Horlor. F. W. Hamilton, S. Kenning, F. V Knapp, and Mrs E. R. M. Childs. After a discussion in committee it was decided to invite applications for the position of music teacher at the Colleges. The Principal of Nelson College. Mr H. V. Searle. invited the Governors to the gymnastic competitions which* are to be held next Saturday evening. It was pointed out that the programme would be much shorter than usual because the dumb bell, club and IJ.T. squads would appear at the Patriotic Carnival during the afternoon
