“EARTHQUAKE AT BOULOGNE?”
REPORT FROM GERMANY POSSIBLY THE R.A.F. (Received 18th September. 12.55 p.m.) i LONDON. 17th «eptember. j Discussing a German news agency re-! port that a o earthquake and violent gale at Boulogne last night caused sev- 1 eral million francs worth of damage. British seismologists said that they cannot find a trace of the alleged earthquake. Possibly the earthquake was the R.A.F.
GERMAN CLAIMS
[U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph-Copyright] (Received 18th November. 12.40 p.m.) LONDON, 17th November. A communique mentions R.A.F. attacks on Hamburg, Bremen and Kiel on the night of 16th November and says that damage to nvbtary targets was slight. Other attacks were directed c residential quarters a 1 13 persons were killed and several wounded. The communique claims that during London raids Waterloo Bridge was hit.
