CRASHED NAZI PLANE FOR AUSTRALIA
Following a request made by the former Lord Mayor of Melbourne (Councillor Arthur W. Coles) to Lord Beaverbrook’s assistant (ex-Australian Senator Robert D. Elliott) a crashed German plane will be sent to Australia for exhibition to raise money for the Australian Soldiers’ Comforts Fund. The plane is being sent as “a silight recognition of the splendid work of Australian pilots serving with the R.A.F.” It is expected that the machine will be a Mcsserschmitt 109, shot down over En®f land.
