MOTORIST ARRESTED
PLDESTRIAN SERIOUSLY INJURED NAPIER, sth May. Serious injuries were teceived by a pedestrian when he was struck by a motor car in Battery road at about 6.30 last evening. He is Stephen Whittingham, old age pensioner, Goldsmith road, Napier. A motorist has been arrested, and will be charged in the Magistrates’ Court, Napier, to-morrow, with an offence arising out of this accident. Mr Whittingham is in Napier Hospital, and his condition is reported to be serious.
