BLENHEIM WEDDING MISS MARGARET CHURCHWARD AND MR BASIL COLLYNS A pretty wedding of wide interest was celebrated at the Church of the Nativity, Blenheim, when Margaret Churchward, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. T. Churchward, Blenheim, was married to Basil Collyns, son of Captain and Mrs Guy Collyns. Ainsburv, England. The Rev. Canon Haultain officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming picture frock of sheer French chiffon sprigged with roses, and worn over taffeta. The skirt was edged with gilting. and she wore a picture hat of fine white straw also edged with the kilting. Her bouquet was a sheaf of pink orchids and roses. The bridesmaids. Misses Clare Ward (Blenheim). Dorothy Craig Bay), and Wilmot Horton (Wellington), wore frocks of pale turquoise satinstriped marquisette over taffeta. Their picture hats were of the same shade of straw with rose ribbons, and they carried arm sheafs of begonias and gladioli in shades of rose.

The reception was held in the lovely gardens of “The Moorings,” the bride’s home. Her mother wore a multi-col-oured petunia and turquoise sheer frock with a black picture hat and accessories. She carried a petunia bouquet. The bridegroom’s aunt, Mrs J. W. Trolove, wore a navy ensemble with touche* of red and yellow, and carried a red bouquet.

The decorations on the wedding cake reflected the bride and bridegroom’s interests, being ballerinas and wings in pastel shades of pink and turquoise. The bride is well known for her dancing interests and the bridegroom is in the Air Force.

When the bride left on her honeymoon she wore a smart honey-coloured Angora frock and coat, with a quilted design. Her accessories were green and brown, and she also wore a heavy green necklace.

It is Mrs Basil Collyns’s intention to follow her husband to Canada when he leaves, and to join him in England to make their home while he is stationed there.
