QUELLED BY BRITISH TROOPS CHINESE BANDITS SHOT DEAD f U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph-Copyright] (Received 10th January, 9.0 a.m.) NEW YORK, 9th January. The Hong Kong correspondent of the Associated Press of America says that British police, in a battle lasting an hour, shot dead three Chinese bandits who were raiding British-leased territory nearby, vacated by the Japanese on 31st December. A section of 700 interned Cantonese troops, armed with broken furniture, who rioted at a new concentration camp, were overwhelmed by British police.
