INTENSIVE MILITARY ACTIVITY
BARRICADES ON WESTERN FRONTIER LONDON, 27th August The Danzig representative of the Associated Press of Great Britain says intensive military activity prevailed throughout the night. Barricades were thrown up on the western frontier and patrols of soldiers tramped through the streets to the frontier. AIR BAN OVER FREE CITY (Received 28th August, 9.15 a.m.) DANZIG, 27th August. The Police Commissioner proclaimed an air ban over the Free City. PASS TUNNEL BLOWN UP (Received 28th August. 9.15 a.m.) BERLIN. 27th August. It is claimed that the Poles blew up the Jablunka Pass tunnel connecting Slovakia with Poland.
