BACK AT HIS HOME FAREWELLS AT HOSPITAL [United Press Association) WELLINGTON, 26th August. Looking remarkably well after hia stay in hospital, the Prime Minister •the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) left Lewisham to-day for his home in Northland. He was accompanied by the Speaker of the Legislative Council (the Hon. Mark Fagan) and the Minister of Mines (the Hon. P. C. Webb). Before leaving Mr Savage said good-bye to those who had looked after him and also to some of the patients, snd walked out to the waiting car in high spirits. Just as the car waa leaving, he suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to thank one of the sisters who had attended him, and he stopped the car, walked back to the hospital, and remedied the omission. On arrival at his home at Northland lie walked up the steps to the front door without difficulty and immediately sat down to hie morning cup of | broth. Mr Savage was a patient at the hospital for a little more than three week*. He underwent his operation on 4th August. It is not likely that he will resuma I his official duties in the House thi* j session. Yesterday his Excellency the Gov(Viscount Galway) visited Mr Savage in hospital. I Mr Webb, who has been a patient jin the same hospital for eye trouble, j left yesterday. He expect* to be completely recovered in a few day*, though | be still wears dark glasses.
