The flying-boat Aotearoa took off foi Auckland at 5 o’clock this morning The flight is expected to take nine hours. The Aotearoa has a range of 200 C miles. Captain Burgess carries a letter from the Premier of New South Wales, Mf Mair. to the Hon. P. Fraser. Acting* Prime Minister of New' Zealand. SYDNEY. 27th August. The Empire flying boat Aotearoa ar* rived at 3.5 o'clock on Saturday after* noon from England. TIME OF ARRIVAL AUCKLAND. 27th August. Crossing the Tasman on the final stage of her delivery flight from Southampton, the Empire flyingboat Aotearoa is expected to land at Auckland at 3.30 to-morrow afternoon. Arrangements at the base u» I Mechanic’s Bay are now complete.
