'J he 400 men who work at the Mat Donald and Glen Alton coal mines have decided to follow the older posted during the week-end by Mr T. Mali, secretary to the Northern Miners’ Union that “till further notice there will he no work for members of the Glen Afton and MacDonald Blanches of the union on and after Monday. 28th August.’’ This action follows the deadlock over the dismissal of a 76 year-old man three weeks ago. This will he the second strike within three weeks at these two mines and for the same reason.
