A move is being made hv the New Zenj liind ilpiitui Association to rouse the inJ lei est ot tile Government and the public | genera!ly in measures and core to combat dental decay, with particular emphasis on the prevention of decay through correct dietetic and living habits in young children under school age. A meeting of members of llie association held in Christchurch last week was ad dressed by Professor J. R. Burt, president sor of dentistry in Otago University. It is understood that a committee has been set up to further the matter, dentists seeing an opportunity to combine tire campaign for education in the care of the teeth and prevention of decay with the operations of the social security scheme, ia conjunction with civic co-operation.
