"This action is brought for the purpose of warning electrical contractors that they must obey the regulations and must not undertake any wiring or other electrical work until they have given true notice of what they propose doing.” stated Mr H. B Lusk in the Magistrate's Court this morning when appearing for the Electric Wiremen Registrar, who prosecuted John Hill. Ltd., for failing to give notice of certain electric wiring to the Hawkes Bay Electric Power Board, and L A. Williams for connecting to a source from which electrical energy was available electrical apapratus exceeding 10 am. peres without obtaining. permission of the power board Both prosecutions arose out of the same set of circumstances. Mr Lusk stated at the ouset that the prosecution was not asking for heavy penalties, as the ases had been brought in the nature of a warning. After hearing evidence the Magistrate fined John Hill. Ltd.. £3 and costs and ordered A. L. Williams to pay costs.
