FALL OF SNOW ON RANGES

NELSON’S WEATHER TO-DAY Cold and changeable weather was forecast to-day, with occasional showers and snow on the hills; moderate to strong winds between south-east and south-west, with gales in exposed positions. The ranges over the Eay presented a fine sight -this morning with a mantle of snow reaching right down to the foothills. The Takaka Hill had six inches of snow on it this morning; while to the east of the city the Maungatapu had a light coating.
