TWELVE SEAMEN ARRESTED

HOLD-UP OF MOTOR VESSEL TAPE HORN (United Press Association] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The twelve seamen alleged to be concerned in the hold-up of the motorvessel Cape Horn at Lyttelton were ar- j rested early this morning, and appeared j in the Magistrate's Court later. They j were charged that on 26th June at j Christchurch, having signed on the ar- ' tides of a British ship, the Cape Horn, at Nexvcastle-on-Tyne. England, they were absent from the vessel without i leave at the time the vessel was due to j leav> Lyttelton, and refused to return to j the vessel. All the men pleaded not guilty and j were remanded to Monday. Bail was fixed in each case at £IOO with two sureties of £IOO. and they were ordered to report twice daily to the police.
