ACTIVITY IN WANGANUI DISTRICT 300 WAR VETERANS ENROL IN BODY I United Press Association) WANGANUI, This Day. Intensification of the interest in the recruiting appeal is strongly evident in Wanganui. Three hundred Great War veterans paraded in a body under the auspices of the R.S.A. and marched to the drill hall to enrol. Twenty-eight members of the Pirates Rugby Club also joined up in a body. The Fordell and Westmere branches of the Young Farmers’ Clubs are forming a unit for the Wellington-West Coast Mounted Rifles, and the Bulls Young Farmers’ Club is forming a unit for the Manawatu Mounted Rifles.
